Tannel House brings a rich and diverse background to her position as a Training Policy and Research Assistant II, with the children’s department at the California Institute for Mental Health. A Southern Californian resident, she earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from California State University, Northridge, and a master’s degree in counseling in marriage and family therapy from California State University, Fullerton.
She is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern whose 16+ years of experience and multi-disciplinary skills include facilitating substance abuse treatment and domestic violence classes, providing individual therapy for dual diagnosis to adults, adolescents, and developmentally delayed individuals, and providing intensive social services to individuals and their families.
Tannel maintains a strong commitment to public health and safety. She has served as a Senior Social Worker for Orange County Social Services, a Mental Health Clinician for Fresno County Mental Health, and a Substance Abuse and Behavior Specialist for the Universal Heath Network System, Fresno.
