California Women's Mental Health Policy Council

The California Women's Mental Health Policy Council (WMHPC), founded in 1999, is a statewide non-partisan membership organization, with a mission to ensure effective, gender-specific culturally appropriate mental health services for women and girls. The Policy Council achieves its mission through training, research, and advocacy.

The WMHPC is governed by a volunteer steering committee and achieves much of its work through the commitment and involvement of the steering committee and the general council membership. The WMHPC receives its funding from public charitable foundations and other public funding sources.

The WMHPC invites persons to join us who share our goals. Members receive notification of our publications, are invited to join our Annual Meetings, and are invited to participate in our ListServe sharing information about issues affecting the mental health of women and girls in California.
