The Board works with CiMH staff to develop strategic planning for addressing priority issues identified at the Board Retreat in June, 1998. Five areas were selected for the first phase of planning and activities:

1. Leadership Development, including families and consumers;
2. Recovery Best Practices;
3. Technical Assistance to support employment of consumers;
4. Culturally Competent services development; and
5. Children's system of care development. Other priority areas will be phased in over a period of time.
